| Change within management of ARGO-HYTOS GMBH |
  Since May 1st, 2010 Dr. Marcus Fischer is now CTO of ARGO-HYTOS GMBH in Kraichtal. He succeeds Dr. Wolfgang Mann, who retired after 13 years of service. In addition to his function as CTO, Dr. Fischer is also responsible for the technical sector of the entire ARGO-HYTOS group. The 41-year-old holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering and has been working for the company since 2007 as an engineering director for the development department, for which he will continue to be responsible for. Dr. Fischer has wide experience in Fluid Technology. After his studies and his graduation at the RWTH Aachen he was working as a director for the IFAS institute at the RWTH Aachen. Afterwards he was in charge of the engineering & design department of a company in the fluid technology sector for several years before changing to ARGO-HYTOS.

| New concept for brake release device |
 A propulsion concept that is commonly applied in mobile work machinery is the hydrostatic drive. The machines are often equipped with spring-loaded brakes used to operate as a parking or locking brake. These brakes may also be used as emergency brakes depending on the type, travel speed and mass of the machine.
The parking or locking brake is usually controlled by a 3/2-way directional valve that is actuated electromagnetically and designed as a slider. The shape of the piston and the assignment of the valve connections are selected in such a way that the 3/2-way directional valve opening towards the tank will relieve the brake cylinder when the cylinder is de-energized. The spring assembly closes the brake so that the machine can be stopped safely even on an incline.

| ARGO-HYTOS India certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 |
 ARGO-HYTOS PVT. LTD. in Coimbatore, India, has been successfully certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and to ISO 14001:2004 for the design, development, production and supply of filters, filter elements, filter accessories and hydraulic components for hydraulic and control systems. The certificates were awarded by the TÜV SÜD South Asia.
The implementation of the quality and environmental management system according to ISO has been realized in less than one year. At the beginning of February 2009, ARGO-HYTOS India started with the documentation process and it took about nine months to complete with certification in November 2009. In the audit, TÜV SÜD appreciated the infrastructure of ARGO-HYTOS India and its compliance towards Government regulation.

| ARGO-HYTOS Nordic opening new corporate building in Malmö, Sweden |
 2009 saw the completion of the new company building of ARGO-HYTOS Nordic as well as the company's move into their new offices.
ARGO-HYTOS Nordic AB was founded in Malmö, Sweden, in 2005. The continuous growth of business made it necessary to expand the existing premises. The company was able to break ground just 2 months after the decision was made to build a new company building. It took no more than 6 months to finish the new construction, allowing ARGO-HYTOS Nordic to complete their move into their new company building as scheduled.
